The HybriX Volta project is a large-scale battery energy storage system (BESS) located in Geel, in the Antwerp region. The project occupies a site of approximately 6,000 m² and has a total capacity of 35 MW with 4 hours of storage.

The installation follows a similar configuration to our Franklin setup, consisting of 30 battery containers and 6 subsystems, with the possibility for further expansion in the future.

Strategically located next to the 150 kV Elia substation in Heze, the project benefits from a strong grid connection, enabling efficient energy storage and dispatch.

Construction started in April 2026, with commissioning planned for 2027. Once operational, the project will contribute to increased grid flexibility, support renewable energy integration, and strengthen the reliability of the electricity system.
